Robert Pen Warren and W.B. Yeats Quotes on Poetry

The poem is a little myth of man's capacity of making life meaningful. And in the end, the poem is not a thing we see --it is, rather, a light by which we may see -- and what we see is life.
  Robert Penn Warren

Out of the quarrel with others we make rhetoric; out of the quarrel with ourselves we make poetry.

 W.B. Yeats

Elizabeth: Thank you for posting this. Warren and Yeats are poets, and know of what they write (speak).
Period/Paragraph:
I reviewed your blog, and enjoyed AND appreciated what I saw and read. Kudos on your chapbooks. I've listed my address for newsletters, and look forward to receiving them in my mailbox. Along the same lines,
I'm a newbie in the blogging world, whereas you've been at this for some time. I hope to learn from you.

Thanks for visiting, Donna, and appreciating my efforts.
What I hope people "learn" when reading my blog is the power of self expression through the written word (poetry and also prose) and the visual arts. If they already know this, then I hope the blog is a reminder and a platform for not only my work but works that can inspire us all to see our common humanity.

I hope people who don't enjoy poetry take the time to give poems a chance to show their magic.

Good luck with your projects.
